Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026 · Version 2026.05
1. Nature of the service
The Sentinel Flow provides AI-native trade intelligence and recovery-support tools — including automated HTS classification suggestions, IEEPA / Section 301 refund detection, May 2026 CIT recovery logic, audit-risk scoring, and arbitrage signals. The Sentinel Flow is a software utility. We are not a licensed Customs Broker, customs attorney, accountant, or tax advisor.
2. Agentic AI clause & user review responsibility
Sentinel Cortex uses AI agents (including large language models) to influence and surface recommendations across the platform. These outputs are decision-support only.
- AI-influenced recommendations may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date references.
- Final HTS classification, refund filings, and any submission to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or any other taxing authority require user review and approval by the importer or the importer's licensed broker.
- Reasonable Care under 19 U.S.C. § 1484(a) remains the importer's responsibility at all times.
3. User accounts & activity
Users are responsible for all activities conducted under their account, including invoices uploaded, recovery workflows initiated, and credentials shared with team members. Keep account credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
Use the platform only with data you have the right to process, and only for lawful trade-compliance purposes. You will not use the service to evade duties, misclassify goods, or submit materially false statements to any government authority.
5. Subscriptions & success fees
Paid tiers (Guardian Starter, Sentinel Pro) renew monthly until cancelled via the Manage Billing portal. Subscription refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Recovery engagements are governed by the 15% Success-Fee Agreement.
6. Liability
Sentinel's classifications, refund estimates, and arbitrage signals are provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
